The Golf Scope app works the same way as a physical non-laser golf scope, except that you have one less thing to carry. By using the built-in iPhone camera, Golf Scope lets you quickly estimate the distance to determine the correct club to execute a shot or clear a hazard.

It is ideal for beginner and casual golfers. Serious golfers should get a laser golf scope.

A quick tutorial:
When the app starts up, it goes directly into the live camera view. Pinch with two fingers to zoom in.
Have the golf flag roughly in the center, tap camera button. Golf Scope freezes the image (by taking a snapshot), automatically zoom into the maximum, and increase the contrast so it is easier to see.
With the frozen image, use single finger to drag and align the bottom of the scale to the bottom of the flag. The tip of the flag indicates the distance.

It is to some extend, better than physical non-laser scope:
Easier to have a fix on the flag. You only need to roughly have the flag in the center to freeze the image.
One less thing to carry.
Costs less.
More flexible. Works with both regular golf flag and short practice flag. Supports both yards and meters.

Accuracy
At 150 yards/meters, +/- 10 yards/meters.
At 100 yards/meters, +/- 3 yards/meters.
At 50 yards/meters, +/- 1 yard/meter.

g-tac pro uses the accelerometer and GPS in iPhone or iPod touch to track and record the performance of your vehicle at the circuit or the drag strip.

Response to scareyourpassenger’s review:
Google maps is *not* more accurate. Maps often misplaces your position by 100’s of yards briefly and then snaps back. g-tac pro won’t do that, but that also means you have to wait for an accurate gps lock which can take a minute or two. If you start without waiting for a lock it says "no gps". It’s not a hardware connection problem. Also, the exported data *is* in CSV format. Apple’s mail app doesn’t allow 3rd party apps to create emails with file attachments, so the CSV data is placed in the email body. Just cut and paste into a file.

Hoopin’ is a simple but fun side view basketball game. The controls are easy, just swipe your finger on the screen to throw a ball. The game includes a number of modes (with more to come in future updates) that challenge your accuracy and speed. There is also a free play mode where you can come up with your own game or just practice shooting hoops. Hoopin’ features a realistic physics engine, so expect the ball to interact properly with the hoop and the backboard.

SHOOTING TIPS:
In order to take a proper shot, you must follow these steps:
1. Put your finger in the shooting region, best in the lower left
2. Move your finger in the direction you would like to throw the ball
3. Release your finger WITHIN the shooting region

The quicker you swipe your finger, the quicker the ball will move. The motion is very simple and natural, and quite easy to get used to :)

Love Snooker? Hate Maths? Then Snooker Scorer is for you!

Snooker Scorer will keep track of a game of Snooker for you, telling you score difference, current break and points remaining.

Note that this is NOT A GAME of Snooker, it is a UTILITY to help you keep track of the score of a game of Snooker.

It’s simple to use; simply tap the ball that has been potted and the score is automatically added. Because Snooker Scorer knows the rules of Snooker, it won’t allow you to pot the wrong ball.

If someone misses a ball, tap the ’swap players’ icon at the bottom of the screen to end the current break.

If there is a foul, hold the foul icon (the white ball with a red ‘no entry’ sign over it) and tap the ball potted. Scorer will swap players and give the opponent the foul points.

Free ball situations can be indicated by tapping the action icon at the bottom of the screen and then tapping ‘free ball’.

Player names can be edited in the preferences screen (tap the ‘cog’ icon in the bottom right of the screen).

Scores and player names are saved and restored automatically when you quit the Application.
