GPS Cardinal is a GPS compass for the iPhone 3G which also provides a wealth of other navigation information.

The application presents a beautiful compass rose which rotates to show your direction of travel, which is reinforced by a heading readout at the top of the screen. Also provided is your current speed, distance and average speed since the application was started along with the accuracy of the information being provided by the in-built GPS.

The accuracy is important, in order to prevent erroneous information being presented, the application will only update when the accuracy is sufficient. Best reception can be achieved by having direct line of sight to the sky (e.g. outdoors without tall buildings or trees). The accuracy figure changes color, red to show it is too inaccurate to be used, amber to show the accuracy is sufficient to update the application but anomalies in the navigation information may occur and green to show good accuracy is being achieved.

Also available is your latitude and longitude, current altitude and the accuracy of that altitude. There are also four fields of navigation information which do not get reset when the application is quit. These show total overall distance, total average speed, maximum altitude achieved and maximum speed reached.

* GPS compass (as it is GPS based it will only show a heading when you are moving)
* Works when driving or walking.
* Current speed, distance travelled since launch, average speed since launch, latitude and longitude displayed.
* Total distance, average speed, maximum speed and maximum altitude are retained and displayed until user reset.
* Settings allow different units for speed, distance and altitude.
* Metric units are selected in the settings area of your iPhone, not in the application. From the iPhone home screen press settings, scroll to the bottom and select Cardinal. From there you can select the units you want.
* See your position on a map.

Simple GPS is an easy and attractive GPS display for the iPhone. Just launch it and get your coordinates within seconds. Great for geocaching, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.

Tell your friends where you are. Tap "Email" and send them a link to your location. When they open it on their phones, they’ll be linked directly to Google Maps.

Get an aerial view of your location. Tap "Map" to launch Google Maps with your current coordinates.

SMS: Unfortunately, Apple does not currently support pre-filling SMS messages. As soon as Apple makes this available, we will add an "SMS" button as well!

Hint: Tap on the coordinates to switch between decimal and sexagesimal (degrees/minutes/seconds). Tap on the altitude or accuracy readings to switch feet to meters. Your preferences are saved automatically.

Note: Simple GPS works best on iPhone 3G. It will run on the iPod touch and (original) iPhone but neither model has a GPS unit so locations aren’t nearly as accurate or even available.

My Track is a software for personal location tracking for iPhone. It allows to record your position during a walk, a run or an excursion in mountain. It allows also to create more tracks and memorize it on iPhone. During the location point recording, My Track allows to visualize current, max and average speed, minimum and maximum altitude value, track and altitude graphs. Can be used also a live map view(only when tracking is on)based on Google Maps to follow the last recorded position in three view mode(Normal, Satellite, Physical). The points recorded can be exported in KML format into Google Documents Site (Google Account is required for this features).
So for tracking:
- make a new track in configuration view
- click "Start Tracking" button in main view and begin to see your track statistics.

Track Statistics:
- Current, max and average speed.
- Track Length.
- Max, min and current altitude.
- GPS Precision of last received point.

Track View
